Color Throwdown # 76

Happy Friday!

My doggie, Lily, this is her (and Taryn) a few years ago when she was a puppy..... had to go to the vet this morning to have a lump removed from her neck. We'll know by next week if it is anything to worry about but I can't get her off my mind. She is a very timid dog and is probably very scared right now :(

Anyhoo, the thing that keeps my mind busy is making something so I took a shot at the color throwdown!

Here are this week's colors.....

I love this combination it is so fresh and spring-like! Here is what I came up with.

I hand cut the bird image and adhered it to the card stock. I pierced around the border and back stitched with some embroidery thread. The sentiment is from a Heidi Grace set that I just got on ebay and couldn't wait to use! The ink is from the $1.50 bin at Micheal's and just happened to be the perfect color!

I had the urge to tie a ribbon or twine ( i heart twine) around the bottom.... what do you think? twine or no twine- the eternal question, lol!

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

  1. now that is some stitching--did you do that free hand?? girl you have got some patience!! Thanks for playing along with the CTD challenge!!

  2. Oh my goodness.....this is amazing! I love the simplicity of this, and yet the stitching adds so much more to it! Thanks for playing with this wonder!!!

  3. Beautiful card! Amazing stitching!!
By the way you won my digi stamp Jane's Bakery so email me so I can send that to you. I can't seem to find your email address.
